Scripta Classica Israelica (SCI) is the annual peer-reviewed journal of the Israel Society for the Promotion of Classical Studies. From its inception in 1974, Scripta Classica Israelica has been devoted to the study of Classics and Ancient History, including the Jewish world in the Hellenistic and Roman periods. It welcomes articles in English, French, German, Italian or Latin on all aspects of the classical world. Submissions are refereed by anonymous readers.

SCI publishes articles embodying original research and making a significant contribution to our understanding of classical antiquity.

While there is, in theory, no word limit, contributors are encouraged to see that their writing is relevant, clear, and well-structured. The Editors retain their right to ask contributors to prune articles that are especially long.

Reflecting the aims of the ISPCS, Scripta Classica Israelica also keeps its readers informed about Classics in Israel by issuing reports on:

* Classics in Hebrew; this section is no longer published in SCI volumes, please see ISPCS website.
* Dissertations in progress at Israeli universities.
* The proceedings of the annual conference of the ISPCS.
